BLUSH Lacquers: BLUSH Beauties Fall Collaboration Collection

Standard

Welp, my medical condition, i.e., the end of Daylight Savings Time, has kicked in and I am officially the saddest of all things sad.  Goodbye sunshine.  Goodbye green grass.  Hello things so brown and crunchy.  Seriously guys, I wish more than anything I could be one of those cute girls wearing Uggs and holding a latte.  But instead, I’m speed walking across the parking lot saying shit shit shit all the way to my office door. Cold AND classy. I’m not even sorry for it.

So seeing as it’s practically winter outside, I figure now would be a good time to write a blog about some fall nail polish you’re buying.  BEST BLOGGER EVER?  I say YES.  Here’s pretty things from Victoria with BLUSH Lacquers:

• SUPER DUPER PRESS SAMPLES •

OKAY.  These colors make fall about half a point more bearable.  Which is saying A LOT because fall NEVER gets bonus points.  In fact, points get taken away.  Unfortunate proximity to winter?  Minus ten points.  Pumpkin-ing all the things, even though pumpkin tastes like dirt rolled in nutmeg?  Minus ten points.  Stepping outside into a 40-degree day and hubby telling you it feels soooooo AMAZING!  Ugh.  Minus a BILLION freaking points.

In other words, the only thing good about fall is this dadgum fall nail polish collection.  Victoria, you get a horn toot!  Otherwise, I’d never get out from under all these blankets.

Now FOCUS.  I have a job to do.  This is the Fall Collaboration Collection, a set of 8 spectacular seasonal shades made with flakies and holo and shimmer and MAGIC – all the goodies you could ever want in a polish.  Plus a side of Leonardo.  Or else I dreamed that.  I dunno.

All of these polishes were made in collaboration with the members of the BLUSH Beauties group on Facebook, who submitted inspiration photos and polish names, and then Victoria breathed them into life.  Take a closer look:

BLUSH Lacquers: Polish Pickup November 2017

Standard

I fully intended to be sipping a celebratory wine cooler right about now, but my time wasting skills are officially at an all-time high.  Cuz guess what accidental napping and lounging on couches does for you? Not write a blog post, that’s for damn sure.  GUYS.  The Polish Pickup starts in like 9 hours and I have 7,397 blogs left to write soooo … if y’all got any hives cream handy, I’ll take like a thousand tubes.

Okay, FOCUS.  In an attempt to post something, anything, here’s my best 2-in-the-morning-and-with-both-eyes-closed kind of effort. Hope nothing stupid comes out!  Take a look at this beauty from BLUSH Lacquers:

• SUPER DUPER PRESS SAMPLES •

We’ve got a green one!  Plus a whoooole lotta shifty goodness, so if it’s moan-y throat noises from here on out, well that sounds about right.  Uhhhhhhnnnnnnn.

The theme for November is Fandoms, and Victoria was inspired by Batman’s rival, Bane, as played by Tom Hardy in the movie The Dark Knight Rises.  Here’s the pic:

Well, I don’t hate that one bit.  I mean, he’s no Leonardo but ummmm … you know … HE’LL DO.  There might be drool-y situation in progress, let’s just say.

Speaking of drool-y, you’re about to get suuuuuuper unattractive in about 2.5 seconds.  Cuz there’s only so much sexy to go around while lolling your tongue inside a bucket. Now, SCROLL!

BANE OF MY EXISTENCE

DESCRIPTION:  A muted multichrome that shifts olive/gold/caramel brown in certain lighting but then shifts brighter green/gold/red-brown in other lighting; it’s magical!

OPACITY:  Three thin coats plus glossy top coat

Formula, as usual, was absolute perfection.  Victoria’s polishes never ever fail.  And the brush, ohhhh THE BRUSH!  It’s literally the best brush in the biz, flat and super spread-y, which quite possibly might be the only time ever when it’s perfectly okay to describe something as “super spread-y.”  But for real, one stroke down the nail and basically DONE.  Perfect for those who don’t have 17 hours a day to do nails like me.

Blah.  You and your fancy life.

Anyone still ladylike?  NOPE, not even close.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again:  this is how this thing works. The Polish Pickup shop goes live Friday, November 3 (today) at 11am EST. At approximately 11am and 1 second, you’re tossing in a bottle like no big deal. Plus 27 backup bottles, you know, for SAFETY.

In case you’re unable to prioritize properly, the shop will stay open until Monday, November 6 at 11:59pm EST. After that, every last one of these polishes: GONE. Forever. As in POLISH EMERGENCY! so be sure to get your life in order or else it’s a sad state of affairs for you.

Prices for the polishes are all different; BLUSH’s in particular will retail at $13. Shipping is a flat rate of $3 no matter if you buy one polish or if you buy all of them. Plus, if you place an order and then go back and place like 42 more orders, they combine shipping for you.  Who’s a fancy lady now?  That be YOU, to be clear.

Where to buy:  http://www.polishpickup.com

Now only two blogs left to write and zero days to write them.  I think I did this wrong.  Which surprises no one, pretty sure.

Later, loves!

BLUSH Lacquers: 2017 Hella Holo Customs Kokua for Charity

Standard

There’s a slight possibility I might go to bed before 3am on a work night, so excuse me while I attempt to write a blog with no words in it.  Cuz there’s a gorgeous nail polish, an opportunity to donate to charity, annnnnd you’re buying 18,000 bottles.  Basically, all you need to know.  So enjoy the best blog post you’ve ever NOT read in 3 .. 2.. 1..

Ugh.  Fiiiine.  A few words then.  And a crap ton of pictures.  Then probably gotta go clear the acorns out of my fake garden real quick.  Plus Full House marathon.

DAMMMMMITTTTT.  I may never go to sleep again.

Let’s talk polish! Victoria with BLUSH Lacquers is participating in the Hella Holo Customs annual Kokua for Charity event, and she sent me her lovely contribution to share with you today. Take a look at this pretty thing:

• SUPER DUPER PRESS SAMPLES •

Kokua is the Hawaiian word for “to help” and the ladies at Hella Holo Customs have put together a charity sale with the help of 8 indie brands to help raise funds for the charity of their choice.  And in case you don’t math well, that’s like 16 reasons why you’re about to spend some money today.

Now FOCUS.  BLUSH Lacquers is in the spotlight, and wallets are flying out of purses, everywhere.

Proceeds from this polish will go to the Hoosier Veteran’s Assistance Foundation (HVAF) located in Indianapolis, Indiana. HVAF helps homeless veterans return to self-sufficiency and engages at-risk veterans to prevent them from becoming homeless by providing supportive housing, case management, food, hygiene and clothing as well as other essential services.

— Victoria Greathouse, BLUSH Lacquers

Sooooo, we’re definitely doing this, then.  I can’t think of any logical reason why not.  And about those 18,000 bottles in the shopping cart? YEP.  That sounds about right.

To aid the convincing, there’s a ginormous amount of effort on display. Seriously, who’s the most professional blogger in all the land? (Me, to be clear.)  A 17-hour photo sesh up ahead!

NO SOLDIER LEFT BEHIND

DESCRIPTION: A yellow-gold holographic in bright sunlight with a touch of mustard in the shade, with gold flakies and gold holo glitters

OPACITY:  Two deliciously smooth coats but could’ve done a billion; a nerdy pleasure to apply

Welp, it’s a bye bye checkbook-type situation for you.  Here’s your shopping deets:

No Soldier Left Behind retails for $11.50

As mentioned up top, 20% of the proceeds from the sale of this polish will go to the Hoosier Veteran’s Assistance Foundation. To read more about HVAF, click here.

Now, here’s where it gets serious.  In order to gain access to this polish, you must be a member of the Hella Holo Customs group on Facebook. Join the group here, then look for Dawn’s post with all the the sale info and shop link.

This sale only runs until October 31 at 11:59pm Hawaii time (or the wee hours of November 1 for most of us); after that, the polish goes away FOREVER.  Aaaack!  Are you properly panicked?  Well, you should be.

And don’t forget, in addition to the BLUSH Lacquers offering, there’s 7 other brands and charities available. Be sure to take a look at all of it then toss every bit in the shopping cart. Cuz now is not the time to be frugal, that’s why.

BLUSH Lacquers: Polish Pickup October 2017

Standard

Vacation is over and everything is back to normal cuz it’s 2am on a work night and obviously it’s TIME TO WRITE A BLOG!

Now fast forward approximately 22 hours later, and the second sentence of this blog has officially been born.  Sooooo … if you’re interested in wasting a whooooooole lotta time, I got tips and pointers complete with 17 charts and graphs and maybe an Excel spreadsheet, to be safe.  Cuz you don’t get to Lazy, Level EXPERT by doing things in a timely manner.  Ugh.  Seriously, someone needs to come save me from me.

And now SUDDENLY! the Polish Pickup has already started and OMG, THE HIVES ARE LURKING! I’ve only got 2 polishes left to blog, so this is some kinda IDEAL SCENARIO if you ask me.

In other words, let’s get the hell on with it before the things are no longer the things.  Take a look at what Victoria with BLUSH Lacquers has made for us this month:

• SUPER DUPER PRESS SAMPLES •

Well, now that’s just stupid pretty, is it not?  Gah!  I’m not even gonna pretend normal things are happening over here.  Cuz someone just tossed in a bunch of shifty business and I’m basically a big ole puddle of goo.  Plus drool.  And 27 other ladylike-type scenarios.  OMG, am I still married cuz seriously I don’t even know.

As mentioned in my previous post, this month’s Polish Pickup theme is Monsters & Mythical Creatures. Victoria was inspired by a Percy Jackson version of a hippocampus. Check it out:

So then naturally, she made us something beautiful. It’s legit time to toss all composure out the freaking window, just so you know.

NOT YOUR AVERAGE SEAHORSE

DESCRIPTION: A navy based polish with a shifting orange-gold-green micro flake shimmer, shifting green-blue-purple-pink flakies and a light touch of scattered holo

OPACITY:  Two coats, three if you’re crazy; obviously, I did three

Gah! I just love how those glittery things catch the light. Distracting, to say the least. Cuz you forgot you were reading this blog, didn’t you? Cuz I forgot I was even writing it.

Seriously, this polish is nothing short of STUNNING. Victoria always makes us such pretty things, but if we must choose favorites, this one is definitely at the top.  Formula is magical perfection.  And the Ugly Ecstasy Face is a dire thing.

More proof below!

Who’s still upright?  Not a dadgum one of us, that’s who.  I know y’all have 50-ish polish and polish-related things to choose from this month, but if this beauty isn’t somehow in your shopping cart, well then CLEARLY you are wrong.

So about this Polish Pickup thing, I’ll give you a brief rundown of talking points:

WHAT:  A crap-ton of indie brands all coming together for a one-stop shop event; you buy one or all, it’s up to you! Flat $3 shipping no matter what.

WHEN:  Right now thru all day Monday, October 9

WHERE:  http://www.PolishPickup.com

BLUSH Lacquers: A Polish Con EXTRAVAGANZA!

Standard

It’s probably a realllly terrible idea to attempt a blog while watching Dancing With the Stars, but Multi-Task Mode has been engaged and so quite honestly, I have no choice.  However, if my brain happens to go away somewhere, you’ll know exactly where it is:  having a Debbie Gibson-style 9th grade flashback complete with hairbrush microphone and awkward dancing.  Seriously, it’s a good thing hubby’s on a business trip, otherwise divorce is lurking if I’m not mistaken.

Quick blog for you tonight cuz time is running out, and I figure I need to tell you about the things before the things are no longer the things.  Polish Con is happening in a mere 5 days and I assume you’d like to know what you’re buying BEFORE the polishes go away forever.  Professional blogger EXTRAORDINAIRE?  I say YES.

Let’s get into it; lots and lots of goodies to share!  I’ve got everything you need to know from Victoria with BLUSH Lacquers, so put your FOCUS face on; there’s some serious business up ahead.  Here we go!

• SUPER DUPER PRESS SAMPLES •

Purple lovers, pay attention!  All your dreams just came true.

This is the Magician’s Trick limited edition trio, three gorgeous purple-toned beauties inspired by the three acts of a magic trick.  Perfect two coat dreamboats!  You want these, oh yes you do.

THE PLEDGE

DESCRIBED as a lavender base with a red shimmer and scattered holo, The Pledge is the beginning or first act of the magic trick where the magician shows you something ordinary.

Soooo … this one should be like a see-thru beige or something right?  Cuz this polish is NOTHING close to ordinary.  The shimmer in it is jaw dropping.

THE TURN

DESCRIBED as a plum base with brown simmer and scattered holo, The Turn is the middle or second act of a magic trick where the magician takes the ordinary something and turns it into something extraordinary.

Okay.  EXTRAORDINARY.  Yep, that sounds about right.  I’m always a fan of deeper shades as they play nicer with my skin tone, and then you go tossing a BROWN shimmer in there, and OMG, excuse me while I go pass out for a second.

THE PRESTIGE

DESCRIBED as a deep purple base with coppery-bronze shimmer and scattered holo, The Prestige is the third and most difficult act of a magic trick where the magician brings it back, because it isn’t enough to just make something disappear.

Unless you count Cheetos, cuz that one is totally worth it.  I’m not even gonna pretend I don’t have one hand blogging and the other in a chip bag.  Why skinny is taking so damn long, I’ll never know.

This trio is a limited edition for Polish Con, but any leftovers will be sold on the BLUSH website.  No restocks are planned, so if you’re headed to PC, there better be 27 trios in your shopping cart, otherwise you are WRONG.

The Magician’s Trick trio retails for $28 for the set or individually for $10.

Next up is the Polish Con exclusive shade.  Check out this gorgeous thing:

IT’S A BREEZE ON THE TRAPEZE

DESCRIBED as a robin’s egg blue base with pink shimmer, It’s a Breeze on the Trapeze is inspired by the bright sparkling circus costumes of trapeze artists.

Another perfect two coater!  But then again, Victoria made it so we already knew.

This one will ONLY be available at Polish Con; no leftovers will be sold in the BLUSH store.  That means if you’re not able to attend PC, you better find a shopping buddy otherwise it’s a sad state of affairs for you.  Cuz we hoard ALL the BLUSHes ’round here, that’s why.

Cost:  $12

Lastly, there’s a FREE gift with purchase!  And who doesn’t love free things?  (Crazy people.)

THE ARCHER AND THE APPLE

DESCRIBED as a deep apple red holographic with bright red shimmer, The Archer and the Apple is inspired by William Tell and impalement art circus acts where an archer or knife thrower hits an apple target off a person’s head.

YOU GUYS.  If you need one good reason to toss a whoooole lotta nail polish in the shopping cart, this here’d be it.  I stinkin’ LOVE this red.  The shimmer in it creates the most amazing inner glow.  Plus a dire case of the noodle legs.

This polish is only available with the purchase of 5 or more BLUSH polishes.  It cannot be purchased individually, and once stock runs out, there is no substition gift with purchase offer.  In other words, head to the BLUSH table first.  You know, for SAFETY.

And don’t forget!  The Road to Polish Con polish I reviewed for you a few weeks ago will be available once again.  A refresher:

TIP-TOE THE TIGHTROPE

And in case you wanna check out my in-depth review of it (orrrrr, blog full of nonsense), you can click here

That’s it y’all!  For all you lucky people heading to Polish Con this coming Saturday, first of all, I only hate you a tiny bit. But also, make sure you add these beauties to your shopping list. DO IT. I mean it.

The Holo Hookup: October 2017 – Ballroom Dance

Standard

GUYS.  If there was ever a time to hoard some nail polish, right now would be it.  Cuz the October Holo Hookup is almost here, and you’re gonna need one box plus 27 backup boxes at minimum.  Anyone in the mood for a bit of completely rational behavior?  NOT TODAY!  An insane amount of holo is happening in 3 … 2 … 1 …

• SUPER DUPER PRESS SAMPLES •

Still upright? Just checking.

So this month’s theme is Ballroom Dance, and I swear the HH ladies were thinking of me when they came up with this one.  I started dance class the summer before 6th grade after a humiliating experience refusing to show school spirit during cheerleading try-outs.  Even at that young age, I couldn’t bring attention to myself.  I could hear all the other girls inside the gym, one by one, as they turned cartwheels across the floor,  rah-rah-rah-ing as if middle school football solely depended on it.  Seriously, I’m pretty sure the birth of my anxiety started right there in the library while I waited my turn to make a fool of myself.

Needless to say, you don’t make cheerleading by walking in the room all ladylike and proper, reciting an over-rehearsed cheer only slighter better than a robot, and then walking back out like QUIET CHEERING is a thing and I just invented it.  So in an effort to console my broken heart, mother signed me up for ballet, tap and jazz, and I stayed there, mediocrely dancing (and only a skosh less quietly) for the next 8 years.

And now I’m blogging the Ballroom Dance-themed Holo Hookup box, so life’s officially come full circle.  How I’m not married to Leonardo DiCaprio by now defies all the comprehensions.

Here’s the inspiration pic:

In related news, my dancing career looked approximately ZERO percent like that.  Unless you count that time where I dressed up like Dick Tracy in a yellow trench coat.  Soooo, maybe ZERO point 2 percent then.  Plus an unlimited supply of sweat bead mustache cuz pliés are hard, people!  SO. HARD.

Trying to not get too chatty in here, as I need to get this posted sometime before 2037. A polish emergency is among us and for some reason, the blog don’t write itself. So let’s get into the goodies, yes? YES.

Perhaps the best part of this box? My girl, Victoria, with BLUSH Lacquers is October’s featured brand!  I’ve said this a trillion times over, but I’ll say it again:  Victoria’s a DADGUM polish magician.  If you don’t own any BLUSHes, my first thought is WHAT?! WHY?! but then my second thought is, Here, lemme fix it.  And then this blog post just falls in your lap like no big deal.

BLUSH LACQUERS: CHA-CHA-CHA!

DESCRIBED as a copper-toned orange holographic with coppery pink shimmers, this one is so full of drool-y type scenarios, we may never be normal again.

The nail art:

And I actually like it!  Used the new Uber Chic Beauty Lovely Leaves 2 plate for this one, and I have a feeling I’m going to wear the dang thing out.  It’s sooooo good!

CUPCAKE POLISH: PASO DOBLE

DESCRIBED as a red holographic with heavy silver shimmer and silver holo flakies, and it’s exactly how I take my reds.  I mean, regular red is nice and all, but toss a bunch of goodies in it and HAND MODEL! is happening whether we want it or not.

More nail art I like:

I don’t quite understand how I’ve done two good ones in a row.  Certainly the mojo is halfway out the door by now?

Used the layered flower image from the new Uber Chic Beauty 20-02 plate, in case you’re curious.  (You might be this time!)

DIFFERENT DIMENSION: SAMBA

DESCRIBED as a plum holographic with silver flakies and silver holo microglitter, this one has one of the prettiest rainbow effects that ever lived.  It’s glorious!  If it ends up on all the surfaces, guys, NO ONE is surprised.

And then this happened:

Bye bye mojo!  Well, it was only a matter of time.

GLISTEN & GLOW:  RUMBA!

DESCRIBED as a medium turquoise holographic with silver holo microglitter and subtle flashes of blue shimmers, this one is a bonafide ocean of lovely.  Makes my sad white sausages look less sad and sausage-y, and for that fact alone, we lub it LOTS.

An attempt to redeem myself:

Well, I don’t hate it, so bonus points are coming, surely.  Used the new Uber Chic Beauty 20-01 plate here and a jumbo sized gold stud because I do nail art with my eyes closed.

More art-y things using all four polishes together. Some overachieve-y on display:

A striping tape EXTRAVAGANZA!  Plus some color blocking that took roughly eons to do.

And now, more effort:

A smoosh mani PLUS stamping?  What blog are you reading, cuz it’s certainly not mine.

THE ROUND UP

Pre-order for this box starts on September 21 at 9pm EST and will run thru September 28 at 9pm EST. Which means, you have just ONE WEEK to get your life together before the polish goes away forever. Are you properly panicked? Well, you should be.

Cost is $40 and shipping will begin October 12th or so. Click here for shopping! (Well, not right now. The 21st. As in Thursday. We’ve been over this already.)

BLUSH Lacquers: Color4Nails Exclusive Duo

Standard

Took a two day blogging break and fully expected to come in here today and all the blogs would be done.  Guess what?  Ughhhhhh. Why you no write yourself?! So rude.

In my defense, I put pants on (against my will) and did a social thing on Saturday in an attempt to stay married. Hubby and I went to one of those movie theaters where you get food and alcohol all while laying down in a recliner – and I don’t know about you, but if my life could be summed up in one big picture, it’d be me lounging about all over that recliner with an afghan covering me all the way to the neck.  Most likely, I appeared highly inappropriate and  a bit TOO lounge-y for public, but I did somehow manage to leave the robe at home, soooo .. if bonus points are coming, that sounds about right.

Happy Monday y’all!  I have some pretties from BLUSH Lacquers to share with you today!  Victoria has partnered up with Color4Nails as an additional shopping outlet for customers worldwide, and to celebrate – an exclusive duo has been born. Take a look at these two stunners:

• SUPER DUPER PRESS SAMPLES •

Squeeeee!  Look at all those jaws, just dropping like no big deal. Gah!  Victoria never disappoints. Ever never never. Anytime a new BLUSH comes out, we are all a drool-y mess. Beautiful colors, glorious mix of glitters and flakies and holo and OMG, ladylike composure = out the dadgum window.

Anyway, while I attempt to get it together, here’s some pics of what you’re buying today:

SNOW SQUALL

DESCRIPTION:  A brown/gold/green multichrome shifter in a dark grey base, blue/green/purple shifting iridescent flakies and scattered holo

I did three coats here, but two might be just fine for some people. Formula was so smooth and fluid and a nerdy pleasure to apply. I could’ve sat there all day playing with this one, except there’s 7,397 other polishes left to do. Ugh. Responsibilities.

ARCTIC CHILL

DESCRIPTION:  A dusty blue base with green, gold and purple flakies and scattered holo

Again, I did three coats here but two coats could’ve been plenty except sometimes I can’t stop polishing. I mean, do you see those flakies in there? DO YOU SEE?!  Your brain just goes away somewhere, I swear it.

THE ROUND UP

Now that you’ve officially lost all semblance of a proper lady, it’s time to spend some money.  This duo is available now exclusively in the Color4Nails store.  Cost is $12 each, which is practically free considering how much we’d pay for a bottle full of magic.

Where to buy:  http://color4nails.com

In addition to this duo, there’s a whole host of polishes from BLUSH available so if you’re missing any, go ahead and toss ’em all in the cart. Cuz today is not the day to be rational.

BLUSH Lacquers: The Road to Polish Con

Standard

Current status:  wayyyyy past the Full House rabbit hole.   It’s officially 2 a.m., Friends is on, and now seems like a really great time to write a blog.  Seriously, can we not even be normal for like half a second at least?  (NO.)  Sleep would be nice, but apparently that’s for other people.  Ugh.

But because I don’t feel like spending the next 18 years in here, let’s go ahead and do a quick one.  It’s basically a Polish Emergency anyway, and I am a DADGUM PROFESSIONAL.  Take a look at what Victoria with BLUSH Lacquers sent over:

• SUPER DUPER PRESS SAMPLES •

Gah!  Pretty, right?  And holo-y and blingy and suuuuper pass-out-y.  Of course, it’s BLUSH, so we all knew there’d be some noodle legs lurking.

This is Tip-Toe the Tightrope, Victoria’s contribution to The Road Polish Con series.  She’s in the spotlight for Week 10 which means come Week 11, this stunner goes away.  You properly panicked?  Well, you should be.  Tossing some polish in the cart all willy nilly would be your most logical next step.

TIP-TOE THE TIGHTROPE

DESCRIPTION:  A silver holographic with bright pink shimmer

OPACITY:  A yummy two coats plus glossy top coat

And now, an extraordinary amount of overachieve-y.  Lots more photos (i.e., drool-y opportunities) up ahead:

Yep, you’re buying it.  But then again, you have no choice.  Here’s all the deets:

WHO:  You

WHAT:  Hoarding all the polish

WHEN: Now through Saturday, September 9 at 11:59pm EST

WHERE:  http://www.thepolishconvention.com

HOW MUCH:  $10

In case you miss it – although WHY WOULD YOU?! is the actual question – this polish will be stocked at Polish Con in Chicago, and if there are any leftovers, they will be sold on the Blush website.  However, leftovers are not guaranteed, so if you want it, SNAG IT NOW.  Then give yourself a horn toot for making good decisions.

Wasn’t I just in here doing the Polish Pickup?  I swear I was, but somehow another month has flown by and here we are again, about to hoard us all some polish.  Not too shabby of a way to spend a few days, that’s for sure.  Plus, my birthday is tomorrow and I’m fully expecting Leonardo to show up and hand me a Starbucks.  Cuz when hubby asked me what kind of gift I wanted, I’m almost certain he knew I meant EXACTLY this.  Otherwise, turning 43 may start off on a very wrong foot.  Although, maybe a Christian Louboutin-clad one, which in that case:  I forgive you.

In related news, hubby just loooooooves being married to me, I’m about 23% certain.

Oh, but yeah.  The Polish Pickup.  It’s happening in a few days, and you need to be prepared.  Put your focus face on, people!  Cuz there’s some serious business up ahead.  Presenting Lakeside Manor by BLUSH Lacquers, also known as the first thing you’re buying:

Gah!  So pretty!  Of course, anything Victoria does is pure magic.  If you’ve never owned one of her polishes, well now is not the time to continue doing what other thing you’ve been doing besides buying all the BLUSHes.  In fact, you’re tossing 18,000 bottles in the cart to make up for it.  Completely rational behavior?  NOT TODAY!

For the month of September, the Polish Pickup theme is Fall Foliage and Fun.  If there’s one thing I love about fall, it’s the color of it.  So cozy and warm and comforting.  Soothes my soul like nothing else.  And as long as I can enjoy it from the inside of my house, covered in a crap ton of toasty blankets, me and fall:  well, we’s best friends.

Here’s the inspiration photo for Lakeside Manor:

Whyyyyy, that’s a beautiful foggy morning on a lake!  If I had something like that to wake up to every day, there’s a .179568% chance I’d make it to work on time.  As opposed to the negative one billion I’m currently doing.  Ugh.

BLUSH Lacquers: Polish Pickup August 2017

Standard

Guess what sale went live this morning all while I still have THREE blog posts left to do?  Gah!  If there was ever a time to freak the FRACK out, now would be it. See what lounging on couches does for you?  Not write a blog post, that’s for damn sure.

And surprisingly doesn’t make you skinny either, which makes ZERO sense. Bah!  SCIENCE.

Oh, so yeah, the Polish Pickup sale is open. Who’s ready to get elbow jabby?  (All of us, to be clear.)  Go go go!  Cuz if I’m blogging on my lunch break instead of the napping I’d rather do, then you’re throwing polish in your shopping cart like money ain’t a thing.

Here’s what BLUSH Lacquers has up for grabs. Presenting, Hop on the Bandwagon:

If you haven’t been able to determine from the last six posts that the theme for August is Old Hollywood, I mean, I get it. It’s Friday. Half my brain is home in pajamas right now.   I probably won’t function properly til at least 4 minutes til 5.

Victoria took her inspiration from the Fred Astaire/Cyd Charisse movie, The Band Wagon. I haven’t heard of this movie (Cuz why again?  THAT’S RIGHT. Leonardo is nowhere.) but I am assuming it involves some sort of dancing.  Proof:

Or perhaps she just fell and they both went ultra dramatic about it in a Mary Katherine Gallagher SUPAHSTAH! kind of way.

OMG, what is happening?  Shut up, brain.

My point is, Victoria used to be a professional ballroom dancer and she worked at a Fred Astaire franchised studio so if there’s an expert in this blog right now, it’d be her.

I, on the other hand, shall sit here and drool like a good girl. Cuz look:

DESCRIPTION:  A light silvery blue holographic with a golden green shimmer and red and blue holo glitters

You’re about 2.5 seconds away from HAND MODEL! with this one. Cuz under the lamps, it’s time for some jazz hands. Check it:

My eyes, my eyes! If you’ve come here for the ladylike composure, you’ve picked a really terrible day.

But then I put pants on. An outside shot, just for you:

Best blogger EVER, is what you’re thinking.

More photos cuz CAN’T STOP, WON’T STOP.  Let’s seal this deal!

I’m never surprised by anything Victoria makes. They are all consistently good. Formula is perfection, never gloopy, and the combos of colors and glitters and shimmer and goodies are unique and breathtakingly beautiful. Serious, if you’ve never used a BLUSH polish before, chances are you’re about to get addicted in a smother-y, stalker-y kinda way.

As mentioned before, the Polish Pickup store is officially open and will stay open until Monday at 11:59pm EST.  DO 👏🏼 NOT 👏🏼 SLEEP 👏🏼 ON 👏🏼 THIS.  Cuz who wants to wake up on Tuesday, sad and polish-less?  Damn near no one, that’s who.

To shop: http://www.PolishPickup.com

Cost:  All the makers set their own pricing; BLUSHes will run you $12. But happiness is priceless, and that’s all that matters.  Shipping is a flat $3 fee no matter if you buy one or a billion.

Okay, deep breath. Only two left to do. Hang in there with me guys, then wine coolers later! To be continued …
