Time for yet another Polish Emergency cuz apparently I stink at blogging.  Weeee!  In my defense, I sat down for roughly one second after work today and suddenly a nap just happened straight out of nowhere.  There was head lolling, mouth gaping and 27 levels of sexy at minimum. Naturally, hubby took a photo for proof and/or future blackmailing-type scenarios, and then woke me up by opening a bag of Cheetos next to my face.  Well played, I must say.

AND SO NOW WE HERE.  One hand in a chip bag and blogging like a dadgum professional.  If an award is coming, no one is surprised.

Let’s talk polish!  I have another glorious trio of yummy deliciousness to share with you today.  Sana with GlitterDaze sent me her contribution to this month’s Hella Holo Customs, and I can’t even begin to tell you how much you’re buying these.  Seriously, take a look:

THIS. Lordt. We’re already drool-y.  If you came here for the ladylike composure, well I can only imagine how WRONG you must be.  All semblance of classy = OUT THE STINKIN’ WINDOW about 97.8465% of the time.  If I wasn’t such a Trophy Wife, we’d all be worried.

THE RED WITCH

DESCRIBED as a shimmery deep cherry red with orange/purple shifting shimmer, holographic glitter and flakies and orange/fuchsia/magenta iridescent flakies

Now FOCUS. Cuz FLAKIES are happening. Glorious, beautiful, mind altering flakies. There’s probably a formula thing and a coats thing and maybe even other things, but at this point it’s all moot. As soon as I get control of my brain, then we’ll see.

TWISTED TWILIGHT 

DESCRIBED as a cobalt blue jelly with pink/orange shifting shimmer and holographic microflakies

Excuse me. I’m gonna need some smelling salts and someone to come hold my mouth shut, stat.  Cuz then the tongue falls out and that causes divorce if I’m not mistaken.  Seriously, can we ever be sexy, even just for a little bit?  NOT TODAY!

ASYLUM 

DESCRIBED as a holographic forest green multichrome with pink to bronze shift 

OMG, we’ve got a green one!  Seriously, guys, how am I still upright? The sheer amount of perseverence on display right now is downright superhuman. Fainting couches for everyone! And cute boys holding leaf fans. I mean, as long as we’re making a list.

Painted Polish: Hella Holo Customs Trio

This blog started with a burst of energy about five hours ago.  I thought for a brief moment, Is today the day?!  Will I finally sit down and write the 7,397 blog drafts that has been staring at me since 1997?

GUYS.  It’s ME.  Here’s what happened instead:

1.  Hubby laid the mail down so I went through swatch packages and then tried on all the new Lularoe

2.  Went to take pics of a swatch I did last night, hated it, and re-did the entire thing altogether

3.  Organized my pile of unread US Weeklys in date order and then subsequently smudged my nails; re-swatching the re-swatch and saying cuss words ensued

4.  Bought a sandwich from Schlotzsky’s

5.  Pulled one weed out of the flower bed, accidentally made a sweat bead mustache and went back inside to wear pajamas

6.  Not much else gets done after pajamas

Long story short:  I don’t know how to manage a burst of energy very well.  They don’t happen very often so most likely my brain tried to SHUT THAT SHIT DOWN.  And so 18,000 chaoses and redirected efforts later, welcome to today’s blog.  Worth half a horn toot, though, to say the least.

I have a most glorious holographic trio to share with you today!  Lexi with Painted Polish is one of this month’s featured makers in the Hella Holo Customs group on Facebook, and so whatever kind of no-buy-type situation you got going on at the moment is hereby officially cancelled and deleted.  Cuz a legit no joke justification scenario just fell in your lap like no big deal.  Take a look:

GALAXY GAZE

DESCRIBED as a vampy oxford blue holographic with silver and sky blue ultra holographic glitters for extra sparkle, this gorgeous dreamboat is an effortless two coats!  And, well … you had me at effortless.

DEWDROP DREAMS

DESCRIBED as a burgundy holographic with scattered ultra holographic glitters and golden shimmer, this hot mama is my absolute faaaaaaavorite!  Colors like this – warm, dark, jewel-toned deliciousness – gets me 27 levels of drool-y every single time.  Perfect for fall, y’all!  Also, two coats if you’re curious.

BLUSHING BLIZZARD 

DESCRIBED as a frosty blue holographic with silver ultra holographic glitters and a purple/pink shimmer, this stunner is jaw droppingly beautiful!  That shimmer peeking through is just a prelude to the noodle legs about to happen.  Two easy peasy coats on this one as well.

All three of these polishes are some kinda magical perfection, I swear it.  No issues with formula; perfect for a quick mani in case you don’t have time to paint nails for 17 years straight like me.  Bah.  You and your fancy normal life.

KBShimmer: Hella Holo Customs August 2017 Trio

Okay, for real this time.  Sleep, I am coming for you.  As in, BEFORE midnight.  Cuz while so far I’ve been able to function pretty well on 4-and-a-half hours of sleep each night, I have a feeling I’m one more late night blogging sesh away from losing all ladylike composure.  I mean, I took a nap WHILE putting Doritos in my mouth. What the hell kind of rude shenanigans is that?!  Sleeping while eating CHIPS, of all things.  Why not while doing dishes, or while being forced to wear pants to go buy groceries?  Ugh.  LAME.

In other words, I need my rest.  Cuz putting food in my mouth with my eyes closed means NO ONE is supervising, and the accidental ingestion of poison is lurking.  Those little brown spots on chips?  Poison.  Two M&Ms fused together?  Poison.  Gravy is nowhere to be seen?  POISON.  I need to see my food before I eat it, cuz spending my night googling symptoms on the internet doesn’t get me much sleep either.

Aside from all that, though, this is my third blog in a row about potato chips, so… Someone needs to come save me from me.  Except don’t, or I will cut you.

GUYS. Pretty things are happening!  I received some gorgeous polishes from the Hella Holo Customs + KBShimmer collaboration to share with you today, and trust me when I tell you how much you’re gonna need these.  Do you like holo?  Do you like flakies and shimmer and glitter and happiness?  Well, then you’re about to have a var var good day.  Take a look!

Do you hear angels?  Cuz I hear angels.

Each month, the Hella Holo Customs group on Facebook features two indie brands who create exclusive custom holographic polishes based on inspiration photos submitted by the members of the group.  This month, one of the brands is KBShimmer, and I’m so so excited for the opportunity to swatch for Christy once again.  And when this trio arrived, it was all I could do to stay upright.  Noodle legs alert!  You have been warned.

Quick rundown of the colors, then I’ll meet you at the bottom.  Lessss go!

PINKING OF PARADISE 

DESCRIPTION:  A softly tinted pink base with glowing holo flakies and a turquoise shimmer

OPACITY:  Two coats, three if you’re crazy; obviously I did three

Welp, I’m done.  All of a sudden, things just got suuuuuper pass-out-y in here.  Do you see those flakies, actually GLOWING?  Christy’s a magician, I’m officially convinced.

This polish is slightly sheer and can be layered over a pink cream for extra opacity, but I think it looks pretty opaque all by itself.  Of course, my nails are little shorties, so what do I know, really?  I went to a Guns ‘N Roses concert a couple weeks ago, and I clapped like I was a fancy lady attending an opera cuz CLEARLY I don’t know how to do things right.  

What I mean is, if you have longer nails, you may need more layers.

ONE HOLO-OF A STORM

DESCRIPTION:  A periwinkle leaning blue base with holo glitters, pink shimmery flake and blue shifting shimmer

OPACITY:  Two coats

Now this one is ridiculous.  The bling in here is insanely good and about 2.5 seconds away from ending up on all the surfaces.  COMPLETELY NORMAL BEHAVIOR, if you’re curious.

Look at that blue shimmer.  LOOK. AT. IT.  We’re all about to get 27 levels of unattractive, I just know it.  Cuz there’s only so much sexy to go around while holding a drool bucket.

THAT GOES WITHOUT CYAN

DESCRIPTION:  An aqua leaning blue holographic with bit of copper and gold for sparkle

OPACITY:  Two coats

Top photo = well and good.  Bottom photo = dear God, what just happened to my body?!  Nothing ladylike is happening after this, I’m sure of it.  It’s a holo EXTRAVAGANZA! to like, the trillionth degree.  Proof:

Under normal, indirect lighting it still looks pretty, but the blue flame in this polish?  DEAD.  And you see those little specks of coppery gold?  MORE DEAD.  Y’all, we will never be the same again.
