The blogging frenzy continues!  Real quickie this afternoon cuz I’ve already fallen asleep like 18 times since typing this sentence.  One of these days, I’ll sleep like a normal person, I swear it.

Inspired by the German Lebkuchen cookie, which is a holiday tradition in my family. As long as I can remember, one of my aunts has been baking these and sending boxes out to family across the country. Getting your annual box of Lebkuchens in the mail is sort of the unofficial start to the holiday season for us!

The cookie, in polish form:

ICED LEBKUCHEN

DESCRIPTION:  A soft gingerbread brown with iridescent flakies and scattered holographic sparkle

OPACITY:  Three coats, even though two was pretty good

And there’s just enough darkness in this color to make my sad, white sausages look not so sad and sausage-y.  Hooray!  Formula was nice as well; applied smooth and even and without any effort.  Which is good considering it was probably 2am and one eye was sleeping.
